If you dream of skippering a yacht through coastal passages - of making the Med your oyster - it's time to make it a reality.
Coastal Skipper is an advanced course open to experienced sailors only, which teaches you to skipper a yacht by day or night anywhere in the Mediterranean.
During the course you will also complete a Yachtmaster qualifying passage of at least 60 nautical miles.
Meet people with similar aspirations, enjoy great on-board cuisine, and prepare to be challenged.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
You'll be a competent skipper with good theoretical knowledge and practical skills, so this course covers more advanced aspects of sailing: passage planning, pilotage by day and night, advanced boat handling under sail, safety procedures, dealing with high winds and rough water, and how to manage emergency situations.
You'll get plenty of practice in "Med mooring" and manoeuvring the yacht in tight situations to build your expertise and confidence.
Coastal Skipper is an advanced skippering course. Please read the information on previous experience below carefully as you are unlikely to pass if you do not have appropriate background knowledge and experience.
If you want to gain more experience and have additional tuition after passing your Day Skipper course you are welcome to join us sailing on any of our normal weeks or on our special milebuilding cruises.
