DAY SKIPPER SHOREBASED WITH DAY SKIPPER PRACTICAL: 9 DAYS

This is the more traditional option and includes the full RYA Day Skipper Shore based course. It�s ideal for those who want to feel that they have all the requisite theory at their fingertips before getting on board. The full shore based course is also essential preparation for anyone who intends to sail in tidal as well as non-tidal waters.

The theory course runs Thursday to Sunday, with arrival on Wednesday evening, and covers everything you need to be a knowledgeable and safe skipper of a small yacht by day. You�ll stay in a hotel with a pool on our delightful island for four nights, giving you a chance to relax and explore as well as learn.

On Sunday evening you will move onto your yacht to continue the practical element of the course, completing your Day Skipper Practical course.

Students who successfully pass both elements can obtain a tidal endorsement to their Practical certificate by completing an additional two days practical training at any RYA recognised centre in a tidal area.
