DAY SKIPPER COMBINED PRACTICAL + THEORY

You've spent some time as part of a crew, and thoroughly enjoyed it. What next? You learn to skipper your own yacht - giving you the flexibility to sail untutored. This 9-day course is designed for those who have some crew experience, but don't have an RYA shore-based (theory) certificate. It's also a good introduction for those who have sailing and navigation theory but whose first language is not English. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

You'll spend the first 4 days at a hotel near Aegina town, learning about theory: basic navigation concepts, chartwork, pilotage and passage planning, collision regulations, buoyage, lights, and so on. This serves as an excellent basis for the practical skipper course. For this you'll embark on a yacht for five days to put your theory into practice and learn seamanship and boat-handling.
