RYA Powerboat Level 2 - National Powerboat Course

If you want to be able to handle a boat proficiently in coastal waters, this course is the one to take. It leads to an internationally recognised certificate which is accepted to drive a power boat in Greece and elsewhere.

The RYA Powerboat 2 syllabus includes both practical exercises and theoretical work. Over the years that we've run the course we've found most people don't want to spend time sitting in a classroom here studying theory; they prefer to be out on the water.

We now specify that all students must have a knowledge of basic navigation and chart work, buoyage, and the collision regulations before taking the course. To make it easy to gain the required knowledge we include the online RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship course at a special reduced price. You study this at home in your own time (6 - 10 hours) and then come to us for the practical work. This means you have more time to practice manoevres and, in summer, to anchor for a swim. We can also accept people on this course without having to complete RYA Powerboat Level 1.
