RYA NAVIGATION & DAY SKIPPER COMBINED COURSE
If you are already a competent crew member, this is a popular combination of courses to take your sailing to the next level. You study navigation & chart-work, either online before you come to Greece, or over the weekend immediately before taking your RYA Day Skipper Practical.
The package includes the RYA Essential Navigation & Seamansip (ENS) course and RYA Day Skipper Practical course. You'll need to do some additional theory work on board the yacht but the ENS course provides most of the background knowledge required for sailing in Greece, where navigation is relatively simple.
The ENS course can be taken in two ways. We can teach you over the weekend before your practical course. You stay in a nice hotel for two nights while studying the theory. This gives you the opportunity to relax and to explore our lovely island before you head off to sea. Taking the ENS course with one of our trained RYA instructors also means you can ask questions and you'll get some special training on "Med mooring", essential for sailing here.
Alternatively, you can do the ENS course online before you come, working at your own pace & in your own time. The online ENS takes 10-12 hours to complete. Some people even like to do both!
Whichever way you choose, we supply you with full course materials, including practice charts and a simulation GPS plotter, plus a FREE set of navigation instruments for you to keep.
